great spots for city strolls and nearby parks
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with a comfortable bed and a relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect base for exploring the city and visiting attractions like St Laurence's Church, which is just 500 meters away, and the wonderful Museum of Reading, only about 800 meters from the hotel. as a solo traveler, I found the staff supportive and the amenities comfortable, but I did notice that the bar area felt a bit empty and could benefit from a livelier atmosphere.

Key card issues need addressing!!! Noise disturbances from neighboring rooms are frustrating!!! Daily housekeeping standards should be improved!!! A mini bar and room safe should be standard features!!! Policy communication needs clarification!!!

The trendy vibe of the place really appealed to us, and our room was fresh and clean. We enjoyed a spacious layout, which was great for our family. The shower was fabulous, and having a nice bar area made our evenings relaxing with drinks after the kids settled down.
In my wife’s opinion, having more family-friendly meal options would be ideal. Our little one struggled with the limited breakfast choices, as there weren't enough kid-friendly options.

Rooms showcase a unique style with a comfortable vibe, equipped with solid amenities like proper shampoo and good water pressure in the showers. The location is quite handy, just a quick stroll away from the shopping area and close to multiple transportation options.
The experience can hit some bumps, particularly concerning cleanliness, with reports of hair left on beds and damp smells in some rooms. Air conditioning tends to fail, leaving rooms stuffy, especially since windows can't open to let in fresh air. guests might find the bar prices a tad high compared to local options, which could affect plans for a casual night out.

It was just a prime choice for a day tour in Reading with definitely value for money. The breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold items, but it often ran out, leading to wait times. If you're relying on room service, think about dining out instead.
